Josef Trepetin is the Founder of Advanced Music Production Academy. His love for music was cultivated at an early age with parents who were avid electronic dance music fans. At 8 years old, he picked up the Alto Saxophone to which he unknowingly would end up playing at every stage of life- elementary, middle school, high school, and in college. At age 15, he began DJing and took much of his direction, influence, and training from the help of his father who was a popular, professional DJ back in his day.
Josef would spend hundreds of hours DJing in his bedroom, mastering his craft, and performing at a variety of events and venues. As much as he enjoyed DJing and playing the saxophone, he’d always felt that he had incredible, musical ideas with no way to truly capture & bring them to fruition. In the years that followed, at the age of 18, he purchased a music production software/DAW known as FL Studio (Fruity Loops) where he would spend well over 10,000 hours, 10+ years of studying, crafting, and refining every melody, project, and idea his mind could conceive, leading him to his greatest passion and life’s purpose- music production. Josef went on to pursue a degree in Music Technology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in 2021. While he still creates music everyday, he now strives to share his passion, knowledge, and experience in music with others in the hope of opening up their musical world to the endless possibilities and fun of making music.
